Nina Alovert photographed Vladimir Malahov while walking with him on the Long Island. “Vladimir was in a black coat. When he stood on the stone at the edge of the ocean he looked like a bird — a symbol of flight and the mind’s desire — it was an eternity — i thought he would fly off at that moment.”
